Montée très raide avec 1000m de dénivelé positif en 5km. La randonnée mène à la station intermédiaire du funiculaire vers le sommet du Niesen. Depuis la station, une très belle vue sur les lacs de Thoune et Brienz, les villes de Spiez, Interlaken et le Niederhorn. A la fin novembre le chemin vers le sommet est fermé pour éviter les avalanches.

Steep hike early in the morning to the half station of the Niesen moutain. From the station there is a view of two lakes and most summits of the Bern oberland. On the west there is the Thunersee and the niederhorn and to the East, the Brienzersee, the Eiger and Jungfrau. In end of November, the path to the Niesen summit is closed from Schwandegg due to the snow.
