La randonnée part de Stechelberg et suit la Via Alpina. Le chemin de la Via Alpina peut être dangereux en hiver, les falaises sont proches du chemin et la neige peut rendre une potentielle chute dangereuse. Depuis Stechelberg, des marches raides conduisent jusqu'à deux cascades. Un pont enjambe ensuite la rivière Sefininen et le chemin monte jusqu'au village de Gimmelwald.

The hike climbs from Stechelberg to the Via Alpina. The Via Alpina path is exposed in winter as the cliffs are close to the path and the path is often covered in snow. From Stechelberg, steep stairs lead to two bridges over waterfalls. After crossing the Sefininen river the path climbs to Gimmelwald.
Le sentier mène ensuite vers la cascade Sprutz qui a sous la chute d'eau offrant une vue originale sur les montagnes environnantes.

Then the hike heads to the Sprutz waterfall. The path passes below the steam of water, offering an original scenery.
Après la cascade, le chemin rejoint la Via Alpina. Le chemin est étroit et une glissade peut être périlleuse. Au hameau de Oberberg, le chemin descend enfin et rejoind le fond de la vallée et s'élargit et ne présente plus de danger. En suivant la rivière au fond de la vallée, on peut trouver une cascade qui lorsqu'elle est gelée présente des stalagmites et une tyrolienne reliant Oberberg au bas de la vallée.

After the waterfall, the path reaches the Via Alpina. The path is shallow and you must not slip. At the Oberberg hamlet, the path reaches the bottom of the valley and is large and safe again. Following the river back to Stechelberg, two last points of interest, a frozen waterfall and the resulting ice artifact and the bottom of Oberberg zipline.
